CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The Texas Lutheran women’s soccer team received goals from four different Bulldogs Thursday in a 4-0 win over the University of the Ozarks.
TLU improved to 4-5-2 overall and to 2-3-2 in the American Southwest Conference. Ozarks fell to 3-11 overall and to 2-6-0 in the ASC.
In Clarksville, Ark., Katy Coggan started the scoring for TLU in the fourth minute. Kristin Meloni delivered the assist off a corner kick. For Coggan, the goal was her first of the year.
Kaysie Boomhower made it 2-0 for TLU in the 20th minute with an unassisted goal. For Boomhower, the goal was her team-leading fifth of the season.
Meloni put the Bulldogs up 3-0 in the 61st minute on a penalty kick. The goal was Meloni’s third of the year.
Sunny Valencia capped the TLU scoring with her third goal of the season. Boomhower was credited with the assist on the goal, which came in the 86th minute.
TLU out-shot Ozarks 23-6.
The Bulldogs travel to Richardson, Texas for Saturday’s 1 p.m. match with the University of Texas at Dallas.
