TLU Launches Virtual Tour
March 2, 2015
Campus tours are critical to the college search process but not always possible due to travel time, busy schedules or resource constraints. Virtual tours are a great way to bring a college campus to a student and his or her family regardless of location, time or cost. This is even more important when you consider the percentage of students who make their final decision based on a campus visit. Frankly put, this is when a student gets the “Yes, I fit in here” feeling.
TLU wants to make it easy for anyone, anywhere to visit the campus and has launched its own virtual tour through YouVisit.com. The tour is available in three languages – English, Spanish and Mandarin – and features a tour guide who provides information about the university at various stops along the tour.
On the various stops, online visitors can view panoramas that offer a 360-degree view of the campus grounds as well as inside some of the academic buildings, dining hall and residence halls. There are also photos and videos that complement some of the stops.
If students and parents decide they want to do their own self-guided tour, there is a mobile app that will use GPS to pinpoint your location on campus and guide you through the online tour.
