TLU Launches iTunes U Site

With iTunes.tlu.edu, Texas Lutheran University (TLU) joins more than 800 colleges and universities across the globe that have expanded their learning beyond the classroom to provide a wide range of digital audio content via the iTunes store, Apple’s popular online music, video, and podcast service.

TLU on iTunes U is a university-wide educational site that features TLU lectures, guest speakers, special events, and chapel sermons using a multi-media experience that appeals to a user’s mobile lifestyle – MP3 players, iPods/iPod Touch, and iPhones. TLU’s content is provided by students, faculty, and staff and is free and open to the general public.

“We are excited to join the ranks of colleges and universities across the globe as we post and share our content through the iTunes store,” said Sarah Story, Associate Vice President for Marketing Communications. “Living in a connected world, we recognize the need to view or listen to rich content from anywhere at any time. iTunes U is just one of several avenues we are developing to help us tell the TLU academic experience story.”

iTunes U is a free hosted content distribution system from Apple that enables colleges and universities to make audio and video material from lectures, interviews, audio books and other sources available to students and the public through the iTunes store.
