TLU Community Music Academy Registration Open for Fall 2014

Texas Lutheran University/Mid-Texas Symphony Community Music Academy Fall 2014 registration is now open for private string and guitar lessons and youth choirs and orchestras. The deadline to register for the fall semester is September 1, and lessons and ensembles begin the week of September 8. Private lessons are offered to both children and adults.

The TLU/MTS CMA string instructors are Dr. Eric Siu; violin, Bethany Ryanes; violin, Dr. Elizabeth Lee; cello, Dr. Eliza Jeffords; viola, David Milborn; bass, and Joseph Palmer; guitar. Laurie Jenschke is the CMA Community Youth Choir director, Eric Siu, directs the Advanced Youth Orchestra, Bethany Raynes directs the Intermediate Youth Orchestra, and Eliza Jeffords directs the beginning Youth Orchestra.

All private lessons will be taught at the First Presbyterian Church located at 305 King Street in Seguin. String lessons are generally on Mondays and Tuesdays and guitar lessons are on Thursdays. All CMA Youth Orchestras will hold rehearsals at the First Presbyterian Church on Monday’s beginning September 8 at 5 and 6 p.m.

CMA Youth Choir will hold its fall auditions on August 22and August 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Schuech fine arts building on the TLU campus. The first CMA Youth Choir rehearsal will be on Tuesday, September 9, in the TLU Chapel.
