Student Leader Of the Month: Mitchell Long
April 10, 2019
TLU Men’s soccer coach Eddie Salazar says that Round Rock, Texas native Mitchell Long is a born leader.
“Not only does he have the intrinsic motivation to do well for himself, but he is motivated to do well for others," Salazar said. "He understands the value of putting in his personal time and supports everyone around him. Mitch is a connector who seeks understanding in order to play his role as a leader, ultimately making him a reliable team player.”
He chose to attend TLU because of the Bulldog pride he witnessed during his campus visit. He is on the soccer team, and serves as an Admissions Ambassador and a Peer Mentor.
"Mitchell has great enthusiasm for everything he undertakes," Freshmen Experience instructor Jean Constable said. "He is organized, smart, and he relates and interacts well with others.”
Long is a Kinesiology and Exercise Science major with a Business minor who hopes to enter the chiropractic field with a focus in sports injuries and rehabilitation. He believes that all students should be involved in something at TLU.
“Being involved has enhanced my college experience and allowed me a voice, sharing concerns and discussions in campus life," he said
