Jennifer Sanders '07 signed a 2 year contract at a news anchor at WSYR in Syracuse, NY.
Sarah Brandes '06 has been named youth sponsor for the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander.
John T. Pless '75 professor of practical theology at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana is the author of three new books: MARTIN LUTHER: PREACHER OF THE CROSS-A STUDY IN LUTHER'S PASTORAL THEOLOGY (Concordia Publishing House, 2013),MERCY AT LIFE'S END (Concordia Publishing House, 2013)and DIDACHE (Emmanuel Press 2013). In addition to his teaching duties in Fort Wayne, John is also a visiting professor at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Pretoria, South Africa.
Sara Basha '11 married Andrew Mitshke in December.
Emily (Frey) Bell '08 married Dustin Bell in Georgetown, TX in Sept 28, 2013.
Keli Rabon '06 won two incredible national journalism awards. One from National Women's Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation and then the duPont from Columbia University, the most prestigious award in broadcast journalism.
Andra Roth Liemandt '96 won the 2012 Dancing With the Stars Austin fundraising gala serving the Center for Child Protective Services in Austin, TX.
TLU alumni Kenneth Eilers'77 and Debbie (Hahn) Eilers ’76 are the owners of Borderland Hardware in Mercedes, Texas where they have an official TLU Boot on display. Mercedes has several college boots throughout the town and the Eilers' is a tribute to their alma mater.
Charles "Chuck" Boyd '72 sold his business (Coastal Comp Corporation) in 2009 and he and Susan have retired. Purchase of a Class A RV has found them from Alaska to Nova Scotia as they travel the USA. 2012 found them in Durango, CO working with Lightner Creek Campground as Camphosts and office workers. Still based at their home in Dickinson, Tx they travel from April to November each year. Susan is involved with dog rescue groups and Chuck is a veteran Service Officer
