Library Materials - Hold or Recall
Holds and Recalls are available to current students, faculty and staff at Texas Lutheran University. A hold will be placed on an item when you request a title that is already in circulation (labeled "not available, Circulating Collection" in the
TLU Library Catalog). Any item on loan is subject to recall
after two weeks upon request by another person.
When the item has been returned to the library, you will be notified that the item will be held at the Circulation Desk no more than 3 days for you.

Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions:
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code), governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or other reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright infringement. We reserve the right to refuse to accept an Interlibrary Loan request if, in our judgment, fulfillment of the request would involve violation of copyright.
