Database Trials

SciFinder - trial ends June 30, 2008

During the trial, SciFinder is available on PC #1 and #2 across from the Circulation Desk in the Library.  SciFinder workshops will be held four times during the trial, as follows:

Library Basement, Computer Lab

• Tuesday, June 3, 9:30-11 a.m.
• Friday, June 6, 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
• Monday, June 9, 1:30-5:00 p.m. 
• Thursday, June 19, 1:30-4:00 p.m.
• Monday, June 23, 2:00-4:00 p.m - Virtual Lab

SciFinder is the American Chemical Society's comprehensive research tool that provides citations from Chemical Abstracts Services' CAS Registry, CAS REGISTRY, CASREACT, CHEMCATS, CHEMLIST, and CAplus databases and the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database. SciFinder indexes literature, including 1500 core journals, from the biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, agricultural science, and more.
