Excellence in Leadership Dinner

The 2009 Texas Lutheran University Excellence in Leadership Dinner, which supports scholarships for student leaders at TLU, will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio.

“A Conversation on Leadership with Herb Kelleher and Colleen Barrett,” will be an evening to remember. Kelleher, Southwest Airlines’ founder and chairman emeritus, and president emeritus Barrett will bring their keen sense of business and humor to the evening as they share their unique perspective with TLU President Ann Svennungsen.

The TLU Excellence in Leadership Dinner annually honors business, community, and civic leaders and in the past has honored note-worthy leaders including Gov. Dolph Briscoe, Graham Weston, and Ed Whitacre.

Proceeds from this annual fundraiser support the university’s Presidential Award for Leadership and Service Endowed Scholarship Fund.
