Visiting Position in Organic Chemistry Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a one-year full-time position in Organic Chemistry at the visiting assistant professor level, to begin August 2010. There is a possibility for this position to be converted to tenure-track after the first year. Candidates with expertise in organic chemistry and the ability to teach a range of courses such as instrumental methods, chemometrics, and/or polymer chemistry are especially encouraged to apply.

Full-Time Tenure-Track Position in Management/Marketing Texas Lutheran University (TLU) invites applications for a tenure-track management/marketing position in the Department of Business Administration and Economics to begin August 2010.

Full-Time Tenure-Track Position in Strings Texas Lutheran University (TLU) invites applications for a tenure-track position in the School of Music at the assistant professor level, to begin August 2010.
Requirements for this position include a Doctorate in either music or music education (Masters may be considered with extensive performing experience); desire to actively recruit and build a strong strings program; performance skills and experience on violin (viola as a principal instrument may be considered); experience rehearsing and conducting a string ensemble; a generalist’s ability to teach a wide range of introductory and advanced courses in the university’s music program; responsibility for all university string related courses: applied lessons, labs, and pedagogy; willingness to participate in all rehearsals and performances of the Mid-Texas Symphony, a professional orchestra based on the campus of TLU; and a willingness to work closely with the administrator of the TLU/MTS Community Music Academy, our Suzuki pre-college program. We also expect a commitment to excellence in the teaching and advising of undergraduate students; a commitment and ability to work collegially with representatives of other disciplines, programs, and offices on campus; affirmation of the mission of TLU, and a commitment to continued professional development. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in teaching, recruiting, Suzuki Certification & instruction, and performance.

Custodian Texas Lutheran University has two (2) temporary full time vacancies in our Custodial Services department.
Position requirements include: - H.S. diploma or equivalent or two years custodial experience
- Minimum of 3 months of custodial experience
- Ability to operate basic custodial equipment; read and write; understand mixing and applications of different chemicals; follow instructions; establish good work relations with fellow employees; lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. and stand, walk, climb, crouch, kneel, or bend for long periods
- Ability to work on a team
- Must be reliable and available for evening, weekend, and overtime work as necessary
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning in an assigned area, which may include scrubbing, buffing, stripping, neutralizing and waxing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, and safely mixing cleaning agents/chemicals.
