Director of Alumni Relations

Texas Lutheran University invites applications for the position of Director of Alumni Relations.

Position requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of five years of management experience, at departmental level or above, in Alumni Relations. Previous experience in volunteer service, leadership development, or board development helpful.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission of TLU
  • Strong managerial, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate people and to facilitate meetings and consensus groups
  • Creativity
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent public speaking ability
  • A high degree of judgment is required to deal with complex factors which are not easily evaluated and make decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent

Reporting to the Vice President for Resource Development & Alumni Relations, the Director will develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive alumni relations program that effectively attracts and involves alumni, parents of alumni, and future alumni in substantive ways that support the university's mission.  Develop programs and recruit alumni to interact with a number of university programs, including Academic Affairs, Career Services, Enrollment Services, Student Life, and University Relations.

Associate Vice President for Development

Texas Lutheran University invites applications for the position of Associate Vice President for Development.

Position requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; additional CFRE certification preferred
  • Seven years of fundraising experience; experience in volunteer service leadership development or board development helpful
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; self-starter
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and groups; public speaking ability
  • Creativity
  • High degree of judgment to deal with complex factors and ability to make decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • An understanding of and a commitment to the TLU mission

Reporting to the Vice President for Resource Development & Alumni Relations, the Associate Vice President will advise and work with the Development field staff members to maximize TLU’s fundraising efforts and work with prospects/donors in an effort to build and maintain relationships to obtain gifts for Texas Lutheran University.

Systems Analyst - Information Technology

Texas Lutheran University seeks an experienced professional for the position of Systems Analyst in the department of Information Technology.

Position requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related work experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Technical expertise in supporting administrative software database applications.
  • Technical expertise with SQL and Net applications
  • Technical familiarity with ERP applications; experience with Jenzabar EX or CX solutions a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Good sense of judgment
  • Willingness to periodically work evenings and/or weekends as needed
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the mission of a church-related university

This position will provide technical analysis and support for strategic University software applications. Successful candidate will assist the Lead Analyst and the Director of Information Technology in defining user requirements for automated information and support. The ability to perform a wide variety of duties involving general knowledge of information technology solutions will be a key factor in the selection process.

  • Regular (full) peace officer license issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education
