ERW intends to bring together science and communication students and faculty to create an informative and inspiring Webzine about our South Central Texas environment. In particular, we highlight research and study at Texas Lutheran University, the impact of global trends on our local ecosystems and environmental issues facing small cities (like Seguin) in our region.

We hope that the project will become a regular part of an environmental studies major at TLU. We also hope that in the process of serving the wider community, the project will excite communication students to study more science and science students to write. We hope the Webzine will excite you to engage fully with the natural world and get as excited about it as we are!

The workshop staff in summer 2007 includes LeAnn Beasley, Brian Houston and Mike Powell working under the direction of Robin Bisha, associate professor of communication studies.
