• Texas Social Studies Supervisors Association - Ann Rogers Scholarship - $1,000 available to student teachers doing their student teaching internship in social studies in the state of Texas.  See Office of Financial Aid for Application.  Deadline:  December 1, 2009
• National Science Foundation East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes - $5,000 summer stipend, round-trip airfare, living expenses for students chosen to participate in eight-week research experiences at  host labs in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan.  Deadline:  December 8, 2009
• Texas Garden Clubs Scholarship - $2,000 available to District VII students who have completed their freshman year and maintain a C average.  Students must also be majoring in one of the following subjects:  horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, botany biology, plant pathology, forestry, agronomy, environmental concerns, land management and/or allied subjects.  Contact Susan McFeeley at 830-620-6461 for application information.  Deadline:  December 15, 2009
• Talbots Scholarship Foundation - $15,000 to $30,000 awarded to female finalists demonstrating courage, conviction and an insatiable entrepreneurial spirit.  Deadline:  January 2, 2010
• US Bank Scholarship - $1,000 awarded to students through a random drawing process.  Deadline:  March 2010
• American Institute of CPAs Scholarships - Several scholarship opportunities fnr accounting and business students.  Deadline:  March 15, 2010 - April 1, 2010
• Abbott & Fenner Scholarship - $1,000 awarded to essay contest winner.  Deadline:  June 19, 2010
• Big Sun Scholarship - $500 awarded to a high school senior or current college student currently involved in a sport at that institution or in the community.  Deadline:  June 24, 2010
• DegreeDirectory.org Academic Business Scholarship - $1,000 awarded to students pursuing business related degrees.  Deadline:  April 1, 2010
• College Greek Books Scholarships - $500 awarded each month (August 2009 through July 2010) to students enrolled in a college or university that has a greek social setting.  Must have a 2.0 CGPA.  Deadline:  6th day of each month
