Student Employment Process
Student completes the application form, which can be downloaded from the Internet or picked up in the Office of Financial Aid.
Student takes the application to the supervisor named in the position posting.
Supervisor interviews applicants.
Supervisor notifies the selected student.
Supervisor completes the
Payroll Authorization form and gives it to the selected student.
Student takes the
Payroll Authorization form
and original documents showing proof of identity and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (most people bring a driver’s license and a social security card) to the Office of Financial Aid and completes the
I-9 and
W-4 forms. We cannot process the I-9 without these documents; please call 8075 for more information.
No student may begin work without completing these two forms. Financial Aid signs off on the
Payroll Authorization form and sends the original, plus the I-9 and W-4 forms, to Payroll.
Financial Aid will notify the supervisor via e-mail when a new student has completed their I-9 and W-4 forms and is cleared to begin working.
