Solar Eclipse Soiree

Join the TLU Society of Physics Students and the Physics Department for their Solar Eclipse Soiree on Monday, August 21 at the library lawn. Viewing glasses from the American Astronomical Society will be provided (for the first 1,000 visitors) to ensure everyone can safely experience the event. There will also be telescopes and pinhole cameras for safe viewing, other cosmic-related activities including the spandex universe, cooking with the sun, solar energy conversion, and free sun (hot) dogs and chips.

Forecast for Seguin (70 percent coverage!)

If you plan on joining the fun, don't forget to wear appropriate gear and an effective sun screen. Make sure you don't miss out or else you'll have to wait another seven years for the next solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.
