Hettinger Lecture - Fake News and Filter Bubbles: Navigating the Information Landscape

In the first Hettinger Lecture of the spring 2018 semester, Professor Amelia Koford will discuss how to filter through news articles to make sure articles are legitimate, factual, and accurately reported.

The Dr. Deborah Hettinger Alumni Faculty Lecture Series features live webinar-style lectures from TLU faculty, alumni, and staff about specialized topics. The series began in 2011 and has included lectures from Dr. Oekerman (Reading to Your Children: It is never too early to start!), Dr. Squires (The Role of Exercise in Metabolic Syndrome Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes), Dr. Jonas (Disease of the Week), Dr. McClusky (Astronomy, the Universe, and Faith; thoughts from a Lutheran Scientist), Dr. Phil Ruge-Jones (Performing Mark's Passion Story), and many others.
All lectures begin promptly at 12 p.m. and last a minimum of 25 minutes, while others may last 45 minutes. Don't be afraid to join even if you're late!
