Bulldog Basics July 2017
July 28, 2017 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Location: TLU Campus
First-year students who have submitted their deposit are invited to attend one of two Bulldog Basics sessions this summer. Bulldog Basics provides an in-depth introduction to the university community and support services offered to the students. Students will also have the chance to meet with a faculty advisor, visit campus and take care of any business prior to beginning classes in the fall. Sessions for students entering fall 2017 take place during the summer on June 23 and July 28.
Students will have courses pre-selected prior to Bulldog Basics after completing the online registration form, which covers their intended major track, preferred courses and required first year courses. The advising process after Bulldog Basics for each semester will be in person with the student's advisor to ensure that all students are following a degree plan and balancing the course load.
Bulldog Basics is also when students can verify their meal plan and sign up for mail and computer services. Bulldog Basics helps ensure move-in day runs smoothly and answers all of the logistical questions about the first year at college.
The program is not mandatory but students and families are encouraged to attend. Students should check MyTLU for reserving their preferred Bulldog Basics date. Registration for Bulldog Basics opens in May.
