Women's golf jumps three spots at Rattler

SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Lutheran women’s golf team improved on Monday’s team score by 26 shots and jumped three spots at the St. Mary’s Lady Rattler Roundup, Tuesday afternoon at PecanValley.
The Bulldogs rebounded from Monday’s 374 to post a 348 and surged past NCAA Division II programs Incarnate Word, SouthwesternOklahomaState and Newman. TLU was 16th entering Tuesday’s final round.
Freshman Angela Aufderhaar led the Bulldogs with a tie for 39th. Aufderhaar shot 88 and 84 over the two-day event.
Brynn Waggoner and Carly Hanson posted finishes of 64th and 67th, respectively. Waggoner fired round of 94 and 90, and Hanson carded a 97 and an 89.
Sarah Thompson and Jo Beth Wedding tied for 72nd. Thompson posted a pair of 95s, and Wedding improved by 20 shots with an 85 Tuesday.
St. Edward’s won the tournament with team scores of 315 and 321. Emily Kvinta of St. Edward’s won the individual title.
