SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs out-shot the Schreiner women's soccer team 34-12 and had 14 shots on goal, but TLU came away without a goal and tied Schreiner 0-0 after 110 minutes of scoreless play.
In an American Southwest Conference match, TLU (2-3-2, 0-1-2 ASC) had two shots hit the crossbar against SU (1-4-1, 0-2-1 ASC).
Schreiner's Genevieve Monroe recorded 14 saves. Marlena Ashby and Kim Myhre combined for seven saves for TLU.
Kaysie Boomhower and Sunny Valencia had nine shots and eight shots, respectively, for the Bulldogs. Boomhower had five shots on goal. Kristin Meloni added seven total shots.
Boomhower and Valencia each had shots hit the crossbar.
The Bulldogs had seven shots in the second overtime.
TLU's next two matches, both on the road, also come in ASC play. The Bulldogs head to Longview and Marshall, Texas next Friday and Saturday to face LeTourneau and East Texas Baptist, respectively. Both matches are set for 1 p.m. starts.
