SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Lutheran women’s golf team improved on its first round score by 18 shots in Tuesday’s final round of the Trinity University Alamo City Classic.
At River Crossing Golf Club, the Bulldogs finished the tournament in seventh place after a final round score of 366. TLU’s team score of 750 put the team 17 shots behind host Trinity.
Southwestern won the tournament with a team score of 673. Texas-Brownsville (678), Hardin-Simmons (682), McMurry (704), and Mary Hardin-Baylor (712) rounded out the tournament field.
TLU sophomore Angela Aufderhaar (Seguin/Seguin) posted the fifth-best round Tuesday and moved up to a sixth-place finish. Aufderhaar fired an 83 to go with her 86 on Monday.
Carly Hansen (Coleraine, Minn./Greenway) posted an 87 and placed 21st overall. Tara Seider (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Milwaukee Lutheran) and Andrea Ramirez (Hondo/Hondo) had second round scores of 92 and 104, respectively. Amy Jones (McCamey/McCamey) finished with a score of 118.
