TEMPLE, Texas – The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs improved on a first round score of 370 with a second-round 354 Tuesday in the final round of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Invitational.
At Wildflower Country Club, the Bulldogs finished in seventh place with a team score of 724. TLU placed behind fellow American Southwest Conference teams Mary Hardin-Baylor (720) and Hardin-Simmons (721). UMHB was fifth, and Hardin-Simmons was sixth.
Tyler Junior College won the team title with a team score of 650. Southwestern University posted a 660 for second place, and Texas-Brownsville finished third with a 669.
Sophomore Angela Aufderhaar posted a Top 10 finish of seventh. Aufderhaar, a Seguin native, had scores of 80 and 83.
Tara Seider and Carly Hansen placed 26th and 32nd, respectively. Seider had rounds of 91 and 88, and Hansen carded scores of 95 and 88.
Andrea Ramirez and Amy Jones finished in 47th and 54th, respectively. Ramirez had rounds of 104 and 95, and Jones posted scores of 116 and 107.
