SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran senior Angela Aufderhaar (Seguin/Seguin) captured the TLU Lady Bulldog Fall Classic Tuesday.
Aufderhaar punctuated her six-shot win with a final-round 73 at her home course, Max Starcke Park Municipal Golf Course.
Aufderhaar, the American Southwest Conference runner-up in 2009, posted rounds of 77 and 73 for a final tournament score of 150.
Allison Williams of Mary Hardin-Baylor led the Crusaders to the women’s team title. Williams carded rounds of 80 and 76 for total of 156.
The Crusaders put four golfers in the top six and cruised to the team title with a final score of 639. In Tuesday’s closing round, UMHB fired a 313 with Allison Williams, Christi Williams and Mallory McAdams all firing in the 70s.
McMurry was a distant second in the team race with a 671.
TLU finished in sixth place overall. Senior golfer Carly Hansen posted an 86 Tuesday to go with her 84 on Monday. She tied for 13th.
Jessica Villarreal and Sarah Black recorded finishes of 38th and 44th. Rachel Feller took home 46th.
TLU continues its fall season on Sept. 28-29 at the University of Texas at Dallas Lady Comet Invitational, to be played at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson, Texas.
