SEGUIN, Texas – The Texas Lutheran women and men’s tennis teams dropped their regular-season finales to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Friday afternoon at the TLU tennis courts. The TLU men fell 5-3 to UMHB, and the TLU women lost 9-0.
The TLU men end the 2009 seaswon with a 4-7 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the American Southwest Conference West Division. TLU women finish the year with a 1-9 overall mark and an 0-6 record in the ASC West Division.
Dante Cage and Cody Fuller each won singles matches for the Bulldogs. Cage and Jason Nave scored a win at No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-6.
The UMHB men improved to 3-7 overall and to 3-3 in the ASC West. The UMHB women, bound for the ASC Championship Tournament, moved to 6-4 overall and to 5-1 in the ASC West.
