LONGVIEW, Texas - Trey McLaughlin's goal for LeTourneau with 14 seconds to play in regulation sent the YellowJackets and the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs into overtime, where the two menís soccer clubs ended the match in a 2-2 tie.
McLaughlin's goal, with an assist from Dillon Holt, went into the net at the 89:46 mark.
TLU had taken a 2-1 lead on Morgan Parkerís second goal of the match. Parker scored at the 75:52 mark with assists from Chris Padilla and Myles Salas.
Parker initially put TLU ahead 1-0 in the first half with a goal in the 37th minute. Josue Cruz assisted on the first Parker goal.
Holt tied the match at 1-1 for LeTourneau with a shot in the 72nd minute. Ben Stoeckmann was credited with the assist.
TLU out-shot LeTourneau 30-17. TLU keeper Trey Tesno had four saves, and LeTourneauís Kyle Davis registered 10 saves. TLU led in shots on goal, 12-6.
In the two overtimes, TLU had five total shots and two shots on goal. Both shots were saved by Davis.
TLU's record moved to 0-7-1 overall and to 0-3-1 in the American Southwest Conference.
LETU now stands at 2-3-3 overall and at 0-3-2 in the ASC.
The Bulldogs now head to East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas for a 3 p.m. contest with the Tigers.
