Texas Lutheran’s Sports Information Director is Tim Clark, and he is assisted by Patrick Zarate. Clark and Zarate received assistance from student workers A.J. Costa, Jenna Davisson, Aimee Donner, Andrew Femath, Andrew Fernandez, Brian Lewis, Brad Newman, Mac Nwosu, Alison Organ, Rachel Schafer, Sarah Skains, Jessica Stetler, Natalie Suciu, Krystal Valencia and Sunny Valencia during the 2008-09 year.
Clark, a 1994 TLU graduate, has served as SID for the past 11 years. He works with all of TLU’s 14 sports, assisting in game-day operations and management of press boxes at all home sporting events.
Zarate, a 2003 TLU graduate, is also the head coach for women’s cross country and women’s track and field teams at TLU. Zarate has been on the TLU SID staff for six years. He assists in photography, statistics, game-day operations, media guide preparations, and website updates.
In 2008-09, Clark and Zarate teamed together to handle the media duties for the ASC Cross Country Championships, the NCAA Division III Cross Country South/Southeast Regional Championships, the ASC Volleyball Championship Tournament and a first round series of the ASC Baseball Championship Tournament.
The ASC Sports Information Department of the Year award is presented by the Conference following voting by the membership’s SIDs. All departments are eligible for the honor. The 2008-09 award is the first in the history of the ASC.
