Texas Lutheran has won eight national championships -- one NCAA Division III title in women's track and field (indoor 4x400 meter relay), two NAIA-II titles in football, two AIAW-II titles in volleyball, two NAIA individual titles in men's golf and one NAIA individual title in women's golf.
The athletics program has three goals: every student who completes his or her eligibility is expected to graduate, each sport should aspire to be competitive at the national level and an efficient and cost-effective support system for the operation of the existing athletics program should be developed and maintained.
