Students and alumni took part in a Hurricane Ike clean-up in Galveston on Nov. 15, a project of S.A.U.C.E.Y! (Students and Alumni Unite in Civic Engagement. Yeah!), organized by the Jon and Sandra Moline Center for Servant Leadership and the Office of Alumni Relations. S.A.U.C.E.Y! encourages alumni to suggest and volunteer for community service projects in their cities. There are plans for future trips to help those on Galveston Island who are still in need of help. For more information, contact Taylor Carleton (tcarleton@tlu.edu), alumni director, or Tim Barr (tbarr@tlu.edu), Moline Center director. |
