Bulldog Basics - June and July 2018

In June and July, we host Bulldog Basics for students who have been accepted and have paid their enrollment deposit. At Bulldog Basics, we have staff from Admissions, the Registrar's office, Student Financial Services, and Student Accounts review everything students need to know and do before move-in day. We also introduce the summer Freshman Experience (FREX) project. Students and their families enjoy lunch on campus and may attend optional afternoon sessions for various academic programs as well as information on academic advising, athletics, dining services, and campus safety. Bulldog Basics is optional and there are two sessions to choose from.

TLU Performing Arts Scholarship Invitational - A Fall Event

The TLU Performing Arts Scholarship Invitational is for students who are interested in auditioning for a performing arts scholarship award. The event is open to students who plan to major in music or dramatic media as well as non-majors. Music and Theatre scholarships range from  $3,000 to $5,000 a year for majors and up to $3,000 a year for non-majors (on top of any academic scholarship awarded).

The event is held in November and kicks off with a luncheon followed by a faculty-student recital, academic browsing fair, and auditions. Students and their families are also invited to attend workshops on admissions, scholarships, and financial aid. The day ends with a TLU Orchestra concert.

For students who did not attend the Performing Arts Scholarship Invitational in November, music and theatre auditions are also held in the spring.
