Applications will be reviewed when all required documents have been submitted. 

Required Documents

*An applicant submitting a GED in place of the high school diploma will need to submit an official score report of the GED.

Application Deadlines

Early Action 

Early Action is for students who wish to receive early notification of their admissions status. Early Action applications must be submitted by November 15. Students will be notified of an admission decision approximately two weeks after we receive a completed application. 

Early Action Application Deadline: November 15
Enrollment Deposit Due: May 1

Regular Decision 

Regular Decision applications should be submitted to TLU by February 1. Students will be notified of an admission decision approximately two weeks after we receive a completed application. 

Regular Decision Application Deadline: February 1
Enrollment Deposit Due: May 1

Late Decision 

Applications submitted after February 1 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Students will be notified within two weeks of the date their application becomes complete. Students admitted as Late Decision will have until May 1, or two weeks from their date of acceptance to accept their offer of admission and submit the required enrollment deposit.

Financial Aid Packages

Our financial aid counselors can provide a summary of cost estimate based on a student's high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores but we must receive a completed FAFSA to be able to provide a complete financial aid package that includes federal (Pell grants, etc.), state (TEG) and institutional funds as well as optional loans.

Required Documents for Spring Applicants

  • Application for admission: Apply Texas Application
  • Official high school transcript*
  • Official SAT and/or ACT scores
  • Essay/Writing sample
  • Recommendation letter preferred but not required
