Submission Guidelines for Posters and/ or Papers
Please submit abstracts to the following
e-mail. If at all possible, please include an attached version of your submission as a Microsoft Word document. Otherwise, cut and paste your submission into the body of an email.
Paper presentations will be 12 minutes (10 minutes with 2 minutes of discussion). Posters can be created on a typical tri-fold board or the equivalent of roughly 35” (height) X 46” (width) inches.
For all submissions: - Be sure to indicate whether you prefer to present a paper or poster (please note that depending on the number of submissions, some individuals may be accepted for a poster presentation rather than a paper)
- Indicate whether you are presenting an empirical paper (with data you have collected or analyzed; pilot work welcome) or a conceptual paper (e.g., a theoretical or concept paper that does not include data that you have collected or analyzed)
- Include the title of your presentation (maximum 12 words)
- Include authors in appropriate author order
- Include institutional affiliation of all authors
For Empirical Papers/Posters (pilot work welcome) - Include an abstract (maximum 500 words)
- Abstracts should include the following sections: Problem, Method, Results, and Conclusion
- If you have an acceptance email for the 2008 SWPA conference, you can email this acceptance email for automatic acceptance into the TLU conference
For Conceptual Papers/ Posters - Include an abstract (maximum 250 words)
- Provide an overview of the topic the paper will explore and how it contributes to understanding in the field of psychology (all areas of psychology will be considered)
