Submission Guidelines for Posters and/ or Papers

Please submit abstracts to the following e-mail. If at all possible, please include an attached version of your submission as a Microsoft Word document. Otherwise, cut and paste your submission into the body of an email.
 
Paper presentations will be 12 minutes (10 minutes with 2 minutes of discussion). Posters can be created on a typical tri-fold board or the equivalent of roughly 35” (height) X 46” (width) inches.
 
For all submissions:

1. Be sure to indicate whether you prefer to present a paper or poster (please note that depending on the number of submissions, some individuals may be accepted for a poster presentation rather than a paper)
2. Indicate whether you are presenting an empirical paper (with data you have collected or analyzed; pilot work welcome) or a conceptual paper (e.g., a theoretical or concept paper that does not include data that you have collected or analyzed)
3. Include the title of your presentation (maximum 12 words)
4. Include authors in appropriate author order
5. Include institutional affiliation of all authors

 
For Empirical Papers/Posters (pilot work welcome)

1. Include an abstract (maximum 500 words)
2.  Abstracts should include the following sections: Problem, Method, Results, and Conclusion
3. If you have an acceptance email for the 2008 SWPA conference, you can email this acceptance email for automatic acceptance into the TLU conference
   

For Conceptual Papers/ Posters

1. Include an abstract (maximum 250 words)
2. Provide an overview of the topic the paper will explore and how it contributes to understanding in the field of psychology (all areas of psychology will be considered)
