The bands of Texas Lutheran University have a long history of excellence and diversity. The repertoire is carefully selected to present a variety of musical experiences – from the traditional to the historical to contemporary art literature. Membership is open to all university students who wish to continue their enjoyment of performing instrumental music either as a music major or non-major. Numerous scholarship opportunities are available.

Beth Bronk serves as director of bands in the TLU School of Music. Professor Bronk teaches courses in instrumental music education and serves as director of the Texas Lutheran University Summer Music Academy. Ms. Bronk taught instrumental music in Texas public schools for 18 years and most recently held the position of Director of Bands and music administrator for New Braunfels I.S.D. During her tenure at New Braunfels, her bands earned statewide recognition multiple times as Texas Music Educators Association State Honor Band finalist and U.I.L. State Marching Band finalist.  Ms. Bronk currently teaches conducting, instrumental music education classes, and conducts the TLU bands. She also performs with the Prince Solms Brass Quintet and freelances in the San Antonio area.
