History and Geography Faculty

Judith Dykes-Hoffmann, assistant professor of history and geography; B.A., Texas Lutheran University; M.A., Texas State University, San Marcos; Ph.D., The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Hoffmann has performed extensive research on the role of women in German immigration to Texas and of antebellum women in the U.S. South. She teaches geography and women's history.

Rebecca A. Kosary, assistant professor of history; B.A., Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi; M.A., Texas State University, San Marcos; Ph.D., Texas A&M University.

Dr. Kosary's research and teaching focus on African Americans in Texas and post-emancipation race relations in the United States and Latin America.

Richard L. Milk, professor of history and department chair; B.A., The University of Texas at Austin; M.A., California State University, Los Angeles; Ph.D., Indiana University.

Dr. Milk's professional focus is on the western hemisphere. His academic preparation, research and teaching have focused on the culture, politics and history of Latino people both in the U.S. and Ibero-America.

Angelika E. Sauer, associate professor of history; M.A., University of Augsburg (Germany); M.A., Carleton University (Canada); Ph.D., University of Waterloo (Canada).

Dr. Sauer has lived, studied and taught in Germany, Canada and Australia. Her research and teaching focus on the areas of international relations, immigration and world history.
