Graduation Requirements

Course Load

  Normal Academic Load 15 semester hours
  Maximum Academic Load 17 semester hours*
  Maximum Load for Summer Sessions 7 semester hours
  Load for Students on Probation 13 semester hours
  Semester of Student Teaching 12 semester hours (Education Majors Only)
 
*A student may take more than 17 hours if a 3.00 GPA was achieved in the previous semester.

Classification

Students are classified according to the number of semester hours of college credit earned, not including the hours in which the student is currently enrolled.
 
  Freshman 0-26 hours
  Sophomore 27-59 hours
  Junior 60-89 hours
  Senior 90+ hours


*Students taking only 12 semester hours per session WILL NOT be able to complete their coursework in four years.

Degrees

Texas Lutheran offers four degrees:
 
  B.A. The Bachelor of Arts
  B.M. The Bachelor of Music
  B.S. The Bachelor of Science
  B.B.A. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
 
 
IMPORTANT:  There are Different Degree Requirements for those students who entered TLU Before the Fall 2005 and those entering at or after Fall 2005 (Choose One Below):
