2005 - Roderick Batson enjoyed a breakout freshman season, one in which he led the team in rushing with 363 yards and scored three rushing TDs. Batson also recorded a touchdown reception. Batson’s best game of 2005 came on Oct. 15 when he rushed 21 times for 100 yards and two TDs. Batson had 121 all-purpose yards in that win over Louisiana College. Batson had a season-best long run of 39 yards in the season-ending win over No. 11-ranked Hardin-Simmons. Batson had four games in the ’05 campaign in which he rushed for 50 or more yards. He had 72 yards on 15 carries in the win over Hardin-Simmons.

Bonner also had a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown in the 1-point road loss to Sul Ross State. Bonner collected three interceptions in 2005 for 60 yards in INT-return yardage. His other interception came in the tight road loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor. Bonner registered 26 total tackles (17 solo, 9 assisted), a team-leading 10 pass break-ups and one blocked field goal (against Sul Ross State). earned All-American awards from Don Hansen’s Football Gazette and from D3football.com. Storrie advanced to the All-American teams after earning First Team All-South Region honors from the Football Gazette and D3football.com.
Storrie was a First Team All-ASC selection for a second straight year. Storrie excelled as the Bulldogs’ kicker for a second consecutive season. He connected on 9-of-11 field goal attempts and made 4-of-5 from 40 yards or more. Twice in 2005 he tied his career-long field goal of 47 yards. He also made two kicks from 43. Storrie has made 22
field goals in his career. He is four shy of breaking John Ostrom’s school record of 25 career field goals. Storrie was a 2005 Preseason All-American choice by D3football.com and by Lindy’s. He was also the 2005 American Southwest Conference Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.
2004 - As a true freshman, Storrie made 13 of 14 field goal attempts and did not miss an extra point. Storrie was the NCAA DIII South Region Special Teams Player of the Year. He was 34-for-34 on point-after attempts and 13-of-14 on field goal attempts, with a long kick of 44. He was 9-of-10 from 30 yards and out. His only missed field goal attempt was a blocked kick. Storrie set the TLU school record for field goals made in a season, with 13. He broke the record of 11, set by Ron Broz in 1970. Storrie also tied the school record for field goals made in a game, with three field goals in the road victory over Howard Payne. In that victory, Storrie hit a 44-yarder late in the fourth quarter to extend the Bulldogs’ lead. He was named the Football Gazette National Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Howard Payne.
